Thursday's playoff schedule moves up: ALCS at 1 p.m., NLCS at 8 p.m. Eastern.

Thursday's Rays-Guardians game is now an afternoon assignment. MLB announced Wednesday that ALCS Game 3 in Cleveland will begin at 1 p.m. Eastern on October 15, five hours earlier than its original 6 p.m. slot, because of the threat of inclement weather.

The change also moves Brewers-Dodgers NLCS Game 4 in Los Angeles to 8 p.m. Eastern Thursday, an hour earlier than the original 9 p.m. start. MLB's complete postseason schedule lists the National League move as a response to the ALCS shift. Both changes belong on a fan's calendar now, especially anyone planning to watch Cleveland after work.

Thursday is not tonight's NLCS game

Keep the game numbers straight. Wednesday's Brewers-Dodgers matchup is NLCS Game 3, still listed for 8 p.m. Eastern on October 14. Thursday's revised 8 p.m. slot is Game 4. Those are separate games on consecutive dates, not two descriptions of the same broadcast.

MLB lists TBS, truTV, HBO Max and UniMas for Thursday's ALCS Game 3. The revised NLCS Game 4 listing names FS1, FOX Deportes and FOX One. These are the published U.S. routes, not a claim that every viewer receives each service or that a particular subscription includes it. The announcement also lists national radio coverage through ESPN Radio and Spanish-language LCS audio through TUDN Radio.

Check the clock and the access requirement

MLB.TV access needs particular care. MLB says these TNT Sports and FOX-family postseason telecasts are available to MLB.TV subscribers who also authenticate an applicable network subscription through a participating pay-TV provider. An MLB.TV subscription alone should not be presented as a universal way around that requirement. Check the provider and service terms for your account before first pitch.

The original comparison card preserves the old and new slots so saved plans can be corrected quickly. A weather-driven move is not a guarantee that Thursday's game will start or finish without another interruption. Recheck MLB's linked schedule before traveling or watching. This time-change notice does not establish a postponement, a new result or any ticket refund or exchange entitlement; those would require separate official terms.
