ALCS Game 4 moves to Saturday. Check the ticket date, not just the game number.

There is no Friday ALCS final. MLB's official schedule marks Tampa Bay at Cleveland as postponed. The next Game 4 is Saturday, October 17, at 8 p.m. Eastern. Game 5 follows Sunday, October 18, at 5 p.m. Eastern. For anyone planning a trip, the important distinction is that a contest's series number and a ticket's original date are no longer interchangeable.

The ticket date matters

Friday tickets apply Sunday. Saturday tickets remain valid Saturday, even though that contest is now Game 4, according to MLB.

That is the practical trap in calling this a simple one-day shift. Before changing a hotel, ride or entry plan, compare the ticket's dated event with the club's current instructions. This report does not establish an individual order's refund or resale terms. Those questions belong with the issuing club or ticket provider, not an assumption based on the new game number.

Milwaukee now has its World Series clock

The World Series begins Friday, October 23, at Milwaukee, with first pitch at 8 p.m. Eastern. The Brewers also host Game 2 on Saturday, October 24. Games 3 and 4 are at the American League winner on October 26 and 27. If needed, Game 5 stays there October 28, before Games 6 and 7 return to Milwaukee October 30 and 31. The official schedule lists every World Series start at 8 p.m. Eastern.

MLB lists FOX, FOX One and FOX Deportes for World Series coverage. Access depends on the service. Milwaukee's basketball opener is earlier that Friday, at 4 p.m. Eastern, under the Bucks' separate announcement already reported by this desk. The baseball times now give fans a firmer evening plan, not a promise about travel time between venues.

What the delay does not settle

Cleveland still leads the ALCS 2-1. A rainout is not a result and does not advance either team. A necessary Game 6 is listed for Monday, October 19, and a necessary Game 7 for Tuesday, October 20, both at 8 p.m. Eastern in Tampa Bay. Sunday is no longer an off-day. The revised calendar compresses the remaining sequence, but it does not establish tomorrow's lineup, pitching workload or eventual World Series opponent.
