Jake Paul return report: promoter announces medical clearance; a specific next fight and commission approval are not established by the report. Sources checked October 8, 2026.
Original status explainer, not a medical assessment. Clearance is attributed to the promoter's announcement as reported by theScore. No athlete photograph or likeness used.

Jake Paul's promoter, Nakisa Bidarian, announced that Paul has been medically cleared to return to boxing, theScore reported Thursday. The report follows Paul's jaw injury in his December loss to Anthony Joshua and subsequent surgery. We have not independently reviewed a medical record or a commission decision.

Clearance is not a completed fight booking

Paul has also named potential opponents publicly. That is a wish list, not evidence that any of those fights is signed. A return announcement should not become a dated bout on a sports calendar until the opponent, venue and event are confirmed through the relevant official sources.

For fans, permission to resume an activity is different from an event they can plan to watch. A promoter's medical-clearance announcement does not, by itself, establish that a commission has approved a particular matchup.

No recovery guarantee or prediction about Paul's performance follows from this report. The next consequential update is a confirmed booking and its required approvals, not another list of names.
