Malott ends it with a knee. Jasudavicius wins the longer argument.
October 17, 2026 · Completed bouts
Mike Malott needed one opening in Edmonton. A second-round knee dropped Joaquin Buckley, and a follow-up right hand ended the main event at 2:32. MMA Fighting and Sherdog both report the knockout. The finish supplied the sharpest ending to a night that also brought Jasmine Jasudavicius a unanimous decision over Erin Blanchfield.
Those results deserve to sit together without being made into the same story. Malott found a decisive strike. Jasudavicius built an advantage over several rounds and kept enough of it when Blanchfield answered. One winner removed the judges from the conclusion; the other won on all three cards.
The finish and the scorecards
Sherdog's Brian Knapp describes Malott working knees against the fence before the fighters separated. The finishing knee came later in the round, followed by the right hand. That sequence matters more than a loose claim that the fight had been one-way from the start. Sherdog's three reporters disagreed about the opening round. Their scores are unofficial assessments, not the judges' cards.
The co-main event finished 29-28, 29-28 and 29-28 for Jasudavicius, according to both outlets. Knapp's account describes her taking Blanchfield's back and controlling position in the first two rounds. Blanchfield found more success with combinations in the third. She did not erase the earlier work.
For readers following Blanchfield, the defeat is a useful reminder to judge the whole fight. A stronger last round does not automatically reverse two earlier rounds, and a narrow numerical margin does not make a unanimous decision disputed by definition.
What the wins establish
Our read: Malott leaves with the cleaner highlight; Jasudavicius leaves with the more sustained positional case. Both have new evidence to bring to the next matchmaking discussion. Neither result, by itself, announces a booked title shot, a new ranking or a next opponent. Those require separate confirmation.
Verification note: UFC's direct results and scorecard pages were inaccessible during our check. The outcomes, methods, time and three decision totals above agree across MMA Fighting's Bryan Tucker and Sherdog's Brian Knapp. We have not treated a scheduled card listing as a result or claimed to have watched the broadcast. This report covers the main and co-main events, not an independently certified full-card results sheet.
