Max Verstappen finally has a Singapore Grand Prix victory. On his 250th Grand Prix start, the Red Bull driver finished ahead of Charles Leclerc and Kimi Antonelli at Marina Bay on Sunday. Formula 1 identifies it as his 73rd career win.

Verstappen protected the lead at the first corner and kept it through his tire stop. Radio trouble later required pit-board communication, but Leclerc could not close the gap. The published classification gives Verstappen a 1:42:00.785 time over 62 laps, with Leclerc 7.335 seconds behind and Antonelli 24.573 seconds back.

Antonelli's late move past Lewis Hamilton delivered third. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri followed in fourth and fifth, with Hamilton sixth. Formula 1's report says Antonelli extended his championship lead. We are not assigning a points margin without the updated standings.

Our read: the winner and the championship leader can leave the same race with different gains. Verstappen filled a conspicuous circuit gap in his record; Antonelli protected his larger season position by finishing ahead of both McLarens.

The race is completed, but Formula 1 still labels its classification provisional. The next Grand Prix weekend is Austin, October 23-25.
