Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are now booked to fight Friday, December 11, at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Netflix confirmed the date, venue and global stream on September 24. After months of proposed locations and shifting timelines, the distinction matters: this is an organizer and broadcaster announcement, not another report that talks are close.

It will be their first professional meeting. Both have held heavyweight world titles, yet their careers have run in parallel without the matchup that British boxing has discussed for years. The sport has had plenty of Fury–Joshua negotiations. It has not had a Fury–Joshua fight.

Cardiff settles one major point of contention in the recent public conversation. New York's Madison Square Garden and other British sites had appeared in reports during the talks. Those possibilities should no longer be listed as the announced location. Principality Stadium is the confirmed venue.

A booking, not another negotiating target

Netflix says the event will stream to its members globally at no additional cost beyond membership. The Ring and Dana White will collaborate on promotion, according to the broadcaster. That is a description of the announced event, not a reason to infer who negotiated every prior dispute or how the fighters' contracts were resolved.
