Jets get Sunday. Giants get Monday. Buffalo gets a breather.

New York’s football weekend comes in installments. The Jets have the Sunday afternoon stage, the Giants take the Monday night shift, and Buffalo can watch both after banking its second win Thursday. All three enter the weekend unbeaten, though the Bills have played one more game.

Sunday: Packers at Jets

Green Bay visits MetLife Stadium on September 20 at 1 p.m. Eastern on FOX. The Jets’ official schedule lists Q104.3 for local radio. This is the home opener, following a 23–10 victory at Tennessee. Another win would send the Jets to Detroit next week at 2–0; that is the immediate prize, before anyone starts drawing conclusions about January.

For viewers outside the local broadcast area, the distinction is important: a FOX listing does not put the game on every FOX station nationwide. Monday: Giants at Rams

The Giants visit the Rams at SoFi Stadium on September 21, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 p.m. Eastern on ESPN and ABC. WFAN is the Giants’ listed radio outlet. Their 28–20 opening win over Dallas is behind them; the next assignment comes on the road.

Cornerback availability is the immediate concern. The Giants announced Friday that Paulson Adebo went on injured reserve with a knee issue and will miss at least four games. They signed Nikko Reed from the Chargers’ practice squad to the active roster. Deonte Banks, limited Thursday with a calf injury, did not practice Friday.

Those are different statuses. Adebo’s absence is confirmed; Banks’ Friday practice entry is not, by itself, a ruling that he will miss Monday. The injury report checked for this guide did not yet supply a final game designation for him. Consult the team’s updated report before kickoff rather than treating a practice absence as the final lineup.

Buffalo has already done its Week 2 work

The Bills beat Detroit 41–31 on September 17, after opening with a 36–31 win at Houston. There is no Buffalo game on Sunday, September 20. Their next scheduled opponent is the Chargers at Highmark Stadium on September 27: 1 p.m. Eastern, FOX.

Buffalo’s two wins have produced 77 points and allowed 62. That is enough offense to make the start entertaining, and enough scoring at the other end to keep the discussion honest. The extra days before the Chargers give Bills fans time to enjoy the wins without confusing a strong September start with a finished season.
