NFL · Friday availability
Hall stays out for the Jets. Giants rule out Hood, Johnson and Nubin.

Updated
Breece Hall will miss the Jets' Sunday trip to New England. Friday's official report also rules out receiver Adonai Mitchell, offensive lineman Dylan Parham and edge rusher Joseph Ossai. Across town, the Giants have ruled out cornerback Colton Hood, tight end Theo Johnson and safety Tyler Nubin for the home game against New Orleans.
Hall is listed with a quad injury, Mitchell a finger injury, Parham a knee injury and Ossai an ankle injury. The Jets again have confirmed absences at running back, receiver and on the line, along with a missing pass rusher. Those are four different jobs to cover, rather than one interchangeable measure of how injured the team is.
Cooper's expected return still has a designation
Aaron Glenn said Friday that he expects rookie receiver Omar Cooper Jr. to be active against the Patriots. The team's report nevertheless lists Cooper, safety Dane Belton and tight end Kenyon Sadiq as questionable, even after full Friday participation. Cooper returned to practice from injured reserve this week. An expectation, a practice designation and an activation are separate steps; none should be silently substituted for the others.
Three Giants out, three more questionable
The Giants list Hood with a concussion and Johnson and Nubin with neck injuries. Abdul Carter, Jermaine Eluemunor and Andrew Thomas are questionable with calf, calf and groin injuries, respectively. All three were limited Friday. That leaves both offensive tackle availability and an edge-rushing role unresolved before Sunday.
New York's report also shows Jason Pinnock as a full participant with no game designation. That is a change from the previous week's concussion-related absence. It does not establish his eventual workload, just as Thomas' questionable label is not a declaration that he will miss the game.
What Friday does not settle
Out means the player will not play. Questionable means availability is uncertain. Full participation describes a practice session, not a medical guarantee or a promised snap count. The official inactive lists before kickoff remain the next definitive game-day check for players whose status is unresolved.
Buffalo's Friday update: five questionable
Buffalo's report now lists Dee Alford (ankle), DJ Moore (shoulder), Ed Oliver (knee), Josh Palmer (shoulder) and T.J. Sanders (shoulder) as questionable for Sunday's visit to Las Vegas. Alford and Palmer were limited Friday. Moore and Oliver were limited after missing Wednesday and Thursday; Sanders practiced fully. The page now supplies Friday participation and those five designations, replacing the incomplete fields available at our earlier check. The Jets and Giants counts above are unchanged and do not include Buffalo.
