Friday confirmed absences: Jets Breece Hall, Adonai Mitchell, Dylan Parham and Kiko Mauigoa; Giants Chauncey Golston and Jason Pinnock. Out means will not play. Questionable is not out. Official team reports checked October 9, 2026.
Original status comparison from the teams' Friday reports. These are confirmed absences, not projected inactive lists.

Breece Hall, Adonai Mitchell and Dylan Parham will not play against Cleveland on Sunday. The Jets ruled all three offensive starters out Friday, along with linebacker Kiko Mauigoa. The Giants, meanwhile, finished the practice week with Malik Nabers and Andrew Thomas as full participants and no game designation for the trip to Washington.

The Jets have confirmed holes at running back, receiver and on the offensive line. That puts three different parts of the offense into replacement mode at once. The Giants' Friday report offers a different planning picture at receiver and tackle, though a full practice does not promise a workload.

The Jets still have unresolved statuses

Will McDonald, Kingsley Enagbare and Tim Patrick are questionable for the Jets. McDonald was limited Friday; Enagbare was full. Patrick's return to practice from injured reserve does not mean the Jets have activated him. Questionable means his availability is unresolved, not that he has been ruled out.

Aaron Glenn said he expects tight end Mason Taylor back after his thumb injury. The Jets subsequently confirmed that Taylor and cornerback Jarvis Brownlee have no game designation for Cleveland. That resolves their designation, not their eventual snap counts.

The Giants' offensive picture improves

The Giants ruled defensive lineman Chauncey Golston out with a neck injury and safety Jason Pinnock out with a concussion. Nabers, Thomas, Isaiah Likely, Chris Manhertz and Cam Skattebo were full participants Friday and had no game designation on the report.

Our read: the Giants' offensive practice improvement should not bury their defensive absences. Friday's report is more useful as a position-by-position planning guide than as a single verdict on the team's health. It is not a prediction of which team wins.

Sunday viewing and the next check

Both games are scheduled for Sunday, October 11, at 1 p.m. Eastern. Cleveland visits the Jets, with CBS carrying the game in the listed market. The Giants visit Washington on FOX. Check the teams' linked viewing guides for your market and permitted streaming options rather than assuming every feed is nationally available.

Before kickoff, check the official inactive lists. Keep three labels separate: out means will not play; questionable means uncertain; a full practice describes that practice session. None should be quietly converted into a guarantee that a player is healthy or will take a particular number of snaps.
